back Sugarbush Announces Girls Only Snowboard Camps
By By Press Release
September 17, 2001

Central Reservations of Vermont, parent company to Women Only Snowboard Camps, has been customizing vacation packages to the Mad River Valley (Sugarbush and Mad River Glen) for over 15 years. Since 1995 CRVT has also been the home of Women Only Snowboard Camps, an independent, fully insured program based out of Sugarbush Resort in Vermont. These camps have been so well received that CRVT is thrilled to introduce a Girls Only Snowboard Camp.

Katie Bush, camp founder, director and owner of Central Reservations of Vermont explains:

"Our philosophy is to offer a non-competitive yet challenging environment for women, and now, for girls, ages 8-12, of all abilities. We take time to get to know you, determine your ability, your comfort level and what you want to learn. Then we're here to take you to that level."

"What makes our camps different is that unlike traditional resort lessons which take a group of 10-12 people and progress at different levels, our coaching sessions are all day and are geared towards the individual. We take the time to get to know you and what you desire from the camps. Beginners and never-evers start with the absolute basics. They spend time learning about their snowboard, getting comfortable with riding on beginner terrain and progressing at their own pace. Often, the first morning is spent learning basic skills before heading up the beginner chairlift. For intermediate and advanced riders we proceed with coaching drills designed to take the individual to where they want to go."

During Girls Only Snowboard Camp local girls with riding experience, age 8-12, will be on hand as assistant coaches to assist and answer questions from a young girls point of view.
