GS: Klug and Kosglow take First Place
by Shanti Sosienski
Saturday was a good day for Chris Klug and Lisa Kosglow in spite of the blustery white-out conditions that hung over the entire weekend. In the women's division Kosglow swept the win, coming last through the gate for an expected finish on a rough day. The entire race seemed to be more about not blowing out and staying up, then about time. Soft snow and poor visibility set a lot of people back as they Jedi-boarded down the mountain.

Rosey Fletcher and Julie Rheaume both managed to stay on top of their boards and ended up tying for second with a total time of 2:31:23. Kosglow beat them with a 2:28:81.
"I think that training in Breckenridge last week on ungroomed runs really helped because I was used to soft snow like we had today," said Kosglow of her win.
In the men's division it was an exciting finish as Canadian Jasey Jay Anderson came through the gate to take first place until he was dethroned by his teammate Mark Fawcett minutes later. Both Canadian's were bumped out then by Chris Klug, who posted the fastest total time with a 2:17:65. The win was a good one for Klug, who was racing on his home turf for the first time and probably only chance he'll have to race at Bachelor this season.
The winner's of the Grand Prix each take home 10,000, second place is 5,000 dollars, and third is 2,500 dollars. Not a bad for a weekend's work.
