The Vans Triple Crown of Snowboarding Halfpipe finals were cancelled this morning due to the 36 inches of new snow that accumulated in the bottom of the halfpipe over night. Competitors didn�t appear to be too bothered by the fact they could now ride waist deep powder or go back to the casinos and gamble away all of their hard earned cash.

Professional snowboarder Dart Tyson was overhead saying "so what about the contest, bro, let�s go schralp some pow."

I couldn�t agree with him more. With bigger storms in the near forecast, the chances of the contest being carried over to Monday is unlikely, but officials are yet to comment.
