Parker, Dakides Win Doritos Loud Air December 11, 1999
The corner hit claimed Erik Lines and Bryan Iguchi who were both helped off the landing, and also made mince meat of several others who were able to walk away.
But for those who negotiated the hit properly, the action was exciting off the two story jump that was right in front of Mammoth's large sundeck. Parker stuck a Backside Rodeo Mute grab to score a 25.6, just edging out Mark Reilly by one-tenth of a point. Reilly couldn't complain, he scored third in the pipe and was on the podium twice in one day.
Thrown into the Grand Prix as more of an exciting diversion than an actual discipline, The Doritos Loud Air was a big crowd pleaser on the sunny afternoon at Mammoth.
