Snowboard Life Top Women's Boards: Avalanche X-elle
November 7, 2000
All-mountain riders will excel on the Xelle. Janet noted this model was, "a good board for a petite-size rider." This springy turner was originally created in-house at the Austrian factory, says Design Engineer Travers Enslow. "Its designed for entire-mountain riding," he adds.
Pro rider Snow Peterson also consulted with designers to elaborate on the original shape. A narrower waist, softer flex, and new sidecut helps the Xelle hold an edge longer and stay stable in various conditionsfeatures lighter riders can always take advantage of. Lisa also noted this boards "great versatility."
