PR: 1997/98 Joyride Product Line Introduction (5-12-97) Airwalk Quad: A Big Step Forward (4-25-97) |
Brewster, NY - Spring, 1997 - Dee Luxe, soft snowboard boots made by Raichle, is introducing a completely new step-in and conventional line for 1997-1998. A key strategy to marketing and selling the step-in boots centers around Raichle's licensing agreements with Clicker, Switch and Intec, the world leaders in step-in snowboard bindings. Raichle entered into these agreements because of their commitment to remaining a boot company, and not becoming a binding company. Although each binding brand has it's own strengths and advantages, none covers the needs of all snowboarders in all parts of the country. This leaves Dee Luxe by Raichle the opportunity to supply a complete selection of soft boots which will be compatible with the three bindings, and which will cover the needs of a broad range of snowboarders. In addition to their step-in boots, there are also three new boots in the Dee Luxe by Raichle conventional line-up. STEP-IN SYSTEM Dee Luxe by Raichle offers two models including Rapid, the high end, high performance model, and Swift, the price performance model. Rapid Rapid is the most advanced step-in boot in the line. It is compatible with all three bindings and offers several key features including both a pre-formed Thermoflex custom fit liner, as well as a Conventional liner; an Internal Highback System for overall support without calf pressure; a lateral torsion insole; and a heel support basket. Other features include a ratchet Power Belt directly integrated into the boot for optimum heel support and direct transfer of force from the foot to the board, as well as the Dee Luxe Riding Processor for customized forward lean adjustment. Swift Swift is compatible with both the Clicker and Switch systems and comes in both a linerless and liner model, each in two colors, for each system. The linerless model features an integrated highback; power Velcro strap in the mid foot and instep area; and a Loop-lacing system for maximum comfort and fit. The liner models feature a conventional Neoprene overlapping liner with a highback for a fixed forward lean, and a Velcro fastener for extra support. The Switch liner model also features a forward lean adjustment system. CONVENTIONAL LINE-UP The conventional collection features the Black, the Blue and the Grey. Fit, performance and comfort are the design prerequisites for all 3 models.
The new Triple DC Sole Construction is Raichle's triple density (3 DC) cushion
system featuring:
The liners are the other element for fit, performance and comfort. Thermoflex liners are the warmest and lightest weight liners in the world and offer the option of a custom fit. The classic Neoprene overlap tongue liners are hand stitched. They also have a synthetic reinforcement for extra support in the ankle area and a built in Achilles L-Pad for firm heel retention. The Black is the top of the line technical freestyle/freeride boot, offered with a Thermoflex liner as well as a Neoprene conventional liner. The Blue is the softer, more flexible version freestyle/ freeride boot, also available with both liners. The Grey for freestyle is linerless. Included in the Dee Luxe line is the price value Master as well as the Merlin junior boot. Dee Luxe Snowboard boots are distributed by Raichle Molitor USA, Inc. RMUSA is also the exclusive U.S. distributor of Raichle Ski, Hard Snowboard, Hiking, Mountaineering and Trekking Boots; Fischer Alpine Skis; Fischer XC Skis and Boots; Hot and Hammer Snowboards; Snowpro Snowboard Bindings; and Eloura Snowboard Gloves. The company is based in Brewster, New York and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raichle Boots AG of Kreuzlingen, Switzerland. For more information regarding any fine Raichle products, click here. |
