C.A.S. Sports Signs Deal to Sell Marvel Comics Skateboards

TORONTO, Ontario, June 5 - C.A.S. Sports International, Inc., a subsidiary of Ride, Inc. (Nasdaq: RIDE), today announced that it has signed an agreement with Marvel Characters, Inc., a unit of Marvel Entertainment Group, Inc. (NYSE: MRV), which expands C.A.S.'s existing licensing agreement with Marvel to include the use of Marvel Comics characters on skateboards, skateboard components and skateboard protective equipment.

"We are delighted to expand our relationship with Marvel," said Robert Marcovitch, C.A.S. president. "We believe that our use of such Marvel characters as X-Men, Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk on skateboard products will enable C.A.S. to capitalize on the strong growth of the skateboard market.* We also see this agreement as a tremendous opportunity for C.A.S. to broaden its distribution to include toy retail channels as well as mass merchants,"* he added.
