NEW YORK, April 28-- Twist Clothing and Sunglass Company and Lantis Eyewear Corporation announced today that they have joined forces to launch Twist Sunglasses, a line of performance and street sport sunglasses. As licensee for Twist Sunglasses, Lantis Eyewear will be responsible for the design, marketing and distribution of Twist's line of sunglasses and protective eyewear.

Recognized as a leading designer and manufacturer of functional, hip snowboard clothing, Twist is known for fusing function and fashion to create forward, edgy sportswear, and their clothing is the choice of many elite snowboarders. Lantis Eyewear Corporation is a leading eyewear company, accessing all major channels of trade with its sunglass and optical products. The Twist Sunglass line by Lantis Eyewear brings together the technical elements of performance eyewear with original, sleek frame designs. Twist Sunglasses feature an exclusive, polycarbonate lens which provides high contrast resolution, impact resistance, maximum glare reduction and 100% UV protection. Twist Sunglasses range in price from $50-$85.

"Twist is a great lifestyle brand -- and the eyewear offers all of the elements of performance that the brand is known for, with an attitude and style that are distinctly Twist," says Scott Sennett, Senior Vice President of Lantis Eyewear Corporation. "We are very pleased to partner with Twist, and look forward to building a very successful brand."

"We are excited to enter into this agreement with Lantis Eyewear, a company which can guarantee excellent quality, delivery and customer service. Our designs rely on unique materials and precise finishing, and Lantis has proven to be the perfect partner," says Troy Bush, President of Twist Clothing Company. "We expect the delivery and customer support to be consistent with the quality of product that we have seen from this partnership."

The Twist Sunglass line made its debut at the Ski Industries of America annual trade show in Las Vegas in March of 1997, and will launch with snowboard, sport, and specialty retailers in the fall of 1997.
