PR: Bud Light Sponsors "NASS"

On Board Entertainment has confirmed Bud Light as the title sponsor of their 1997 North American Snowboard Series. K2 Snowboards & Airwalk Footwear have been confirmed as the supporting sponsors. OBE is pleased to have all of their 1996 sponsors returning for 1997.

NASS is a series of five (5) pro invitational Big Air contests, to be held at ski resorts throughout America in the Spring. To assure that NASS is the premier contest series, OBE has hired the leading park designers, Stimilon International, to build all of the jumps. With $60,000 in prize money, NASS is the largest cash competition in North America for Big Air.

All of the NASS competitions will be held within On Board Entertainmentis on-mountain sports & music festivals. The all day festivals include 3-5 alternative bands on a mountain stage; a vert pipe with pro skateboarders, BMX & in-line skaters; NORBA sanctioned on-snow dual slalom mountain bike races; a tremendous consumer trade show with equipment demos, free video arcades & more.

NASS debuted in i96 at OBEis "SNOasis" & "Board Stiff" festivals. Each festival drew crowds of over 8,000 snowboard & music fans. Some of the i96 musical performers included Candlebox, Garbage, Bad Religion, Seaweed, Stabbing Westward, and an acoustic set by Noel Gallagher of Oasis.

1. Saturday, March 29th: Snoqualmie Pass - Seattle, WA
2. Saturday, April 5th: Sugar Bowl - Tahoe, CA
3. Saturday, April 12th: Wolf Mountain - Salt Lake City, UT
4. Saturday, April 19th: Loon Mountain - NH (just outside of Boston)*
5. FINALS ~ Saturday, May 3rd: Mount Hood Meadows - Portland, OR

* Please note: The original March 1st date in NYC has been switched to April 19th in Boston.
