Twist Snowboard Shop 1st Anniversary Party

The Gathering Of The Goddesses II

Last weekend, the Twist Snowboard Shop began the first leg of their one year anniversary party. It started with a huge three day sale held at the Fox Theater in Boulder, Colorado. Lots of manufacturer sales reps came to sell their sample lines at killer prices and Twist cleared out all of their left over stuff. There were times when if felt like the feeding frenzy generated by hundreds of CU students would develop into a street brawl.

Last night, Twist held a private martini party for a couple of hundred friends at the Fox Theater before the Reverend Horton Heat took the stage and the remaining masses were allowed in. The Absolut was flowing in rainbow colors. Some of the industry notables that attended Tuesday night included Titan pro riders Mike Ranquet, Mark Frank, and Twist rider Adam Merriman. Lisa Hudson, marketing director for Twist, was in full velvet evening attire, handing out martini's, and surrounded by all of the cute guys.

Long lost Trey "Cowboy Poet" Cook, formerly of Wave Rave, was there looking good sporting a ten gallon hat and very fine western duds. After spending the summer in South America as a guide, Trey has decided to take a job with Switch Manufacturing in France. Jeff Ingram, also formerly of Wave Rave, was there, enjoying his martini's and wearing his trademark suspenders. He is working in California for a porn mag and doing some design work for Swag.

Lori Hon, the Twist Snowboard Shop store manager, put on the entire affair. With everyone in the Rocky Mountain region trying to sneak into the private party, she had her hands full trying to control the crowd. After the martini cocktail party, the general public was invited in to listen to the Reverend Horton Heat belt out some 'surfer music'. Overall, a great time was had by all. Thanks Troy, Trent, Lori, Lisa and everyone else for a making it great. Stay tuned for more to come. This weekend Twist will be hosting their annual Freaks On Film with the band Man...or Astro Man? playing. We'll be there.
