Chris Hansen, is
a freelance writer specializing in backcountry snowboarding and skiing and
their related industries. He lives in Portland, Oregon but is at home anywhere
the snow falls. To support his snowboard habit, Chris runs the back-shop
at a backcountry ski and mountaineering store in Portland called Oregon Mountain
Community. He is also a certified snowboard and telemark instructor and teaches
for the Ski and Snowboard Mechanic's Workshop in the fall. When Chris isn't
drilling holes in perfectly good skis or writing about snowboarding, you
can (if you're lucky) find him snowboarding, backcountry skiing or quaffing
