Elliot Rock is the editor on the
annual "Snowboard New Zealand", and is a
freelance photographer and writer. Originally from Wellington in New
Zealand, and now resides in Christchurch in the South Island of New
Zealand where, as he puts it, "...the best conditions and terrain in NZ
is...". Trained as a photographer, Elliot has dabbled in everything from
bartending to 3D computer geek work. Now he is getting photos and
editorials regularly in various New Zealand publications, and overseas
magazines and websites. Elliot started snowboarding at Turoa in the
North Island in '93, and playing around with snowboarding photos the more
he got addicted to the white stuff. "When I retire I want to travel
around taking B&W; environment photos like Ansel Adams... Maybe putting
out calendars and coffee table books."
If you need any information on New Zealand as a snowboarding destination
give him a buzz.
