Have you subscribed to SOL | Groove? |
You're Definitely SOL Now! Hi. Glad you could make it to the official SOL | Snowboarding Online site. We've tried to layout SOL in a logical manner but who knows, we may be crazy and what we think of a logical maybe nothing of the sort (how are we to know?). So, to guide you through SOL, here's an rather long overview of the entire place. We've broken SOL down into two main screens--the SOL | Main Page and the SOL | Matrix. Each screen then has links to other areas on the site. Navigating any site for the first time can be a bit confusing. So don't be frightened and have fun.

Getting Around SOL The main screen is pretty self-explanatory. The buttons below the obelisk send you directly to chat, messages, search, and right here to info. Clever, huh? The buttons around the icon connect to the following sections: The direct connection to snowboard gossip and rumor in "The Snowblower," as well as up-to-the-minute bits of random news and features from around the snowboard world. Live coverage of snowboard events and happenings. During the season we'll do live daily updates from the road to keep everyone up to date on what the SOL family is up to. Equipment, equipment, and more equipment; including product reviews, designer profiles, and new product information. The latest snowboard contest stories, results, and news including links to the ISF World Rankings Page and the US Snowboard Team Page. Complete coverage of snowboard industry news, including the industry chatter section called "The Beast." The Matrix is our secondary screen that includes links to the following sections: Snowboard instruction tips for beginners through advanced snowboarders will be posted here. School will also feature stories with facts every self-respecting snowboarder should know. Alpine riders headquarters. Information and stories related to riding hardboots and the people who prefer them. The backcountry is a dangerous place, Outerlimits will have stories about getting into the backcountry, having fun, and returning safely. Our own little mental hospital for people suffering from chronic snowboard addiction acts as member profiles for the site. Readers will be able to fill out a questionnaire, mail in a photo and have them posted for other members to check out. including member bios and photos. Pictures, video, and other images of people snowboarding and people who snowboard. Resorts, secret spots, lines, what resorts are good for what and why we should all go there will all be covered in the Terrain section. It also includes our "Terrain Drain" interactive trip report forms where members post the results of their latest snowboard trip including reviews of the mountain, shops, and hangouts. People who are changing the face of snowboarding and taking it to a whole new level. We'll feature rider profiles, interviews, and stories on the people who are making changes. A fun place for the girls to learn about what's up with women and snowboarding. Enjoy SOL. If you run into anything that you think is lame, stupid, or just plain wrong, please tell us about it. We want this site to be representative of snowboarding and those who live to ride. With your help I think we can make this happen. Lee Crane |
