Market Sizes: Europe and Japan

According to the International Snowboard Federation (ISF), snowboard sales rose 30 percent in 1994�95. They also reported similar growth in boots and bindings.

Snowboard Sales 1994�95:

Europe: Austria 30,000 France 30,000 Germany 49,000 Italy 19,000 Switzerland 39,000 Scandinavia 19,000 Others 22,000 Europe Total: 208,000 Japan: 145,000 North America: 190,000 World Total: 543,000

These numbers are from an estimation by the ISF with the European snowboard industry.
