We asked our international think tank for the top three brands in their regions. Here's what they has to say:

"In Austria/Germany: Burton, Nidecker, Oxygen"-Martin Lehner at Elan in Austria

"I would say Atlantis, Burton, and Airwalk"-Mattias Fornell, Editor-In-Chief Edge Snowboard Mag in Sweden.

"Burton, the Swedish brand Extrem, and the Swedish chain-store brand Warp"-Brian Bohannan, PTI distribution in Sweden

"Number one is Burton. Then there are an open market with Salomon, Ride, Morrow, Scott, and the Swedish brand Extrem"-Pelle Jansson, Editor in chief, FunSport in Sweden

"Crazy Creek, Burton, K2"-Miikka Valkonen, Rossignol/Nitro Distributor in Finland

"Burton is first with approxiamately 1,200 pieces, then K2 (300 pieces) and Rossignol (500 pieces, but low image position)"-Yuri from Russia

"Burton, Nitro, then Nidecker, Rossignol, and others"-Hotze Zijlstra, editor, D-E-E-P Snowboarding Magazine.

"Quantity wise for '97/98 the top three brands in boards were Burton, Nidecker, and then F2"-Jürgen Schütte, K2 Snowboard Germany
