Snowboard Life Top Women's Boards: GNU Barrett

November 7, 2000

Pro rider Barrett Christy charges everythingparks, cliffs, kickers, powand her boards designed for all of it. According to Pete Saari, Mervins vice president of marketing, Barrett lowered the tip and tail profile this year for better float in soft snow, while still retaining an aggressive flex.

Our testers seemed to understand Barrett and her all-around style. Robyn described this board as "very responsive in turning. Its snappy and great for jumping."

Janet was also stoked on the versatility of the Barrett. "Overall rippin board. Its stable, but soft tortionally for quick, easy edge sets." Riders looking for a stick thats capable of anything are looking for the Barrett.
