Variables 15.5 Read, Dude By Joel Muzzey January 7, 2002 Reading isn't as popular as it once was for a number of reasons-not long ago, there was no Tony Hawk Pro Skater, no TRL, and no filthy Internet. Unfortunately, most required school reading is on par with physics homework-it just sucks. But if you ever tire of burning eyes from too much TV time or cramped thumbs from a PlayStation overdose, try something bold-read a book. Okay-relax, yeah, I said it. What follows are books, stories, and poems that, in my dubious opinion, are way more interesting than spacing-out to video games, watching Will And Grace, or mining the Internet for nude shots of Venus Williams.
