Ski Into Summer at Crystal Mountain
6/15/99

(Press Release)–For the first time in twenty years, Crystal Mountain, will reopen the Green Valley Chairlift for summer skiing and snowboarding.

With snow depth in Green Valley topping ten feet, the Green Valley chairlift will be added to Crystal’s regular summer operations, conditions permitting. "Adding the Green Valley Chairlift to our regularly scheduled summer lift service is a natural with snow coverage like this," says John Kircher, Crystal Mountain’s general manager.

Crystal’s summer season runs from June 26 to September 6, 1999 with the Chinook Express and Rainier Express chairlifts operating daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Green Valley chairlift, serving mostly intermediate and expert terrain, will operate seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. starting June 26. The Green Valley halfpipe will also be open. The Green Valley chairlift will continue to operate daily as long as the snow holds out.

All day lift tickets will be twenty dollars for adults (eleven and over) and fifteen dollars for children (ten years and under). Single ride tickets are also available for twelve dollars for adults and seven dollars for children. The Summit House Restaurant will be open, serving burgers, pizza, salads and impressive views of Mount Rainier.
