PR: Stimilon To Design Motocross Parks For Ski Resorts.

5/25/99

Stimilon International, Inc. is very pleased to announce that it is expanding its business to include Motocross Park design for ski areas. The company has been working on this project secretly for some time now, waiting for the right opportunity.

Ski Areas have been experimenting for years on ways to draw summer revenue. Well here it is - Motocross parks. They will include tracks - both competition and practice, freestyle pits, Enduro trails and ATV tracks. It is a natural crossover from snowboarding and skiing. This year alone, many kids in just the New England area have bikes and are searching for decent places to ride in the off season. It is a perfect business for Ski resorts. Many have the property available, all understand daily maintenance of their facilities, and they have the machinery and water to insure quality.

The Stimilon staff rides every day in the off season and much of our snow terrain design has been heavily influenced by Motocross over the years. So bringing those designs to dirt is an obvious progression. Understanding terrain layout is our profession. We understand how the resort business operates. We also have the relationships with the athletes, both those who frequent the mountains during the winter and ones that have never been on snow. Stimilon Approved Motocross Parks are the culmination of all of these resources.

We are all really excited about this new venture and feel that it will enhance the Resorts' portfolio, while offering new ways for families to enjoy their mountain experience. Research has shown that Motocross is as family oriented, if not more, than the popular snow sports the areas already offer the public. So there is quite a potential for "New Blood" to be introduced to the mountains each off season. This is a major resource for getting new people into the sport of Motocross. Ski Resorts have the means to attract a lot of people to their facilities. Whether they have always wanted to get into it, or they haven't ridden in years due to no place to ride, Stimilon Approved Motocross Parks will give the riders what they want.

We hope that our strong resort connections and reputation will make management comfortable in dealing with this new venture. Stimilon has worked with Ski Areas for over seven years now. Our goals are to show them how to tap into this new market and make money, while still maintaining the integrity and developing the growth of the sport.
