BLINK 182 - Dude Ranch

I really wanted to hate these logo-T wearing,
Arnette sporting, snot-nosed, retread punk
rocker, San Diego brats. Everyone likes them so
they gotta suck, right?
Wrong! The music rocks. Excuse me while I
prove my out-of-touchness, but in an era when
most bands are just sorry reheated left-overs
culled from the last decade of music history,
these guys have yanked off a fresh, clever new
album without straying too far from the rotting,
slime-corpse of punk rock. Yes, it's commecial.
And sure, it's well packaged. But Dude Ranch
also bursts and heaves with honest angst,
happy suburban hostility, with a handful of
misplaced masterbation maschinations thrown
in just for fun. I've been listening to Dude Ranch
since it arrived and I think it will stay in rotation
for quite a while. God I love pop music.
