LAGWAGON - Let's Talk About Feelings
(Fat Wreck Chords)
Release Date: 11/24/98
Review: Mark Woodlief
(November 03, 1998)

It seems so obvious, but the longer a band plays together, the better they become. Santa Barbara-based quintet Lagwagon is no exception, and the group's needle-nosed melodic punk (equal parts Descendents, NOFX, and Blink-182) progresses beautifully on their fourth record. These Warped Tour (US and Europe) vets bring almost eight years of experience to bear on a recording that pays homage to the old school with an Agent Orange cover (the classic "Everything Turns Grey") and production help from Descendents' members Bill Stevenson and Stephen Egerton. Some of the songwriting turns surprisingly reflective ("Love Story," "The Kids Are Wrong"), but Lagwagon's as fast and catchy as ever.
