Comments: Once again Mack Dawg has managed to make the best trick video of the year. Simple Pleasure's includes an impressive who's who list of riders hucking over, under, and off most everything. While the film isn't much different from last year's "Stomping Grounds," the rider introductions included in this year's film are entertaining. In some cases the ten to fifteen second are more revealing than the riding.
Riders with initials for first names went off. JP Walker has a great segment, BJ Leines busts it huge at Mt. Hood off the super kicker, CB Burnside shows off her killer skate style, and JF Pelchat offers up proof that his riding is as strong as his French-Canadian personality. Then, add in Nicola Thost shyly hiding her face from the camera, but throwing down 540s, Blaise Rosenthal doing the Tahoe-thing at a backcountry kicker session, and Mikey LeBlanc launching it huge with Utah style, and you have Simple Pleasures.
While some people moaned about the film being the same tricks over and over again, I liked the constant flow of the movie and the fact that there was never a lull in the action. It's all about preference though. If you're into progressive tricks, buy this movie.
