Park City Opens November 11

November 8, 2000

Park City, Utah - Thanks to recent snows and cold temperatures, Park City Mountain Resort will open to the public for riding on Saturday, November 11.

"Conditions over the last few weeks could not have been better," said Vern Greco, president and general manager at Park City Mountain Resort. "We're ready for a strong opening day, as well as great conditions on the race course for the Chevy Truck America's Opening next weekend."

The PayDay chairlift opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 11. Open runs are: PayDay, top to bottom; Bonanza; The Drift; and Homerun to the Angle Station. Snowmaking crews are working around the clock to allow additional terrain openings in subsequent days.

Opening day lift tickets may be purchased at the Resort Center ticket building. Lift ticket prices are as follows: Adult full day $35
Adult half day (1 - 4 p.m.) $27
Youth full day (age 7 - 12) $20
Youth half day $15
Child (age 6 and under) FREE
Seniors (age 65 - 69) $27
Seniors (age 70+) FREE

Park City Mountain Rewards pass holders, whose direct-to-lift pass allows the first day of skiing or snowboarding before Dec. 16, 2000 free of charge, may either go directly to the lift on November 11 to use their free day, or show their Rewards pass at the ticket window and purchase a lift ticket for $30.

For the latest ski and snowboard conditions at Park City Mountain Resort, call 435-647-5449 or 800-222-PARK (7275).
