OPENING DAY SNOW REPORT BIG BEAR MOUNTAIN RESORT WILL OPEN TUESDAY NOVEMBER 27, 2001 WITH 1300 VERTICAL FEET OF TOP TO BOTTOM TERRAIN AVAILABLE!

Big Bear Mountain Resort is dedicated to providing a REAL MOUNTAIN EXPERIENCE. Rather than opening on Monday with marginal conditions we decided to continue building our snow base with the largest snowmaking system west of the Mississippi (per acre) and open Tuesday morning (8:30 am to 4:00 pm). Claim Jumper trail, from top to bottom and the Big Bear Express High Speed Detachable Quad Chairlift will be open for the first day of operation. We will continue to make snow at every opportunity and open new terrain as conditions permit. We will have a few rails and fun boxes available opening day and we will begin to build terrain features as snowmaking continues and as soon as possible.

Once signed up members receive a personalized photo identification wristband that contains a pre-programmed computer chip for calculating the amount of vertical feet each member skis or snowboards every time they visit Bear Mountain.
