Manny, Moe, Jack and some guy, back stage working out the pre-show kinks, while on stage Lisa Hudson tried to calm the crowd for the start of the show.

Originally scheduled for Kirkwood Ski Resort, Boarding for Breast Cancer had to change venues at the last minute when Kirkwood's rather stingy, hard to deal with management wouldn't donate enough rooms for BBC organizers and staff. Luckily, John Rice, one of the ski industry's most forward thinking managers, welcomed the BBC to Sierra-at-Tahoe.

In fact, John even turned over his office and entire staff to the BBC two days before the event. What a guy. What a resort. Thanks, John.

The best part of the day, musically speaking, was Sick Of It All who came on right before Quasar. They turned out the real roots punk rock.

Tina B. played a large part in getting the Beastie Boys to play Boarding For Breast Cancer. Part of it could be that the Beastie Boy's Adam Yauch is her roommate in Utah. But she and Shannon also helped bring the media to the event just by being there.

After looking around at all the teenage girls who were smoking Todd said, "My new band is going to be called, 'All New Wave Girls Smoke." I mean look around."
