In Eugene. She is going to the University of Oregon. I have had a couple of dreams about snowboarding with her. We only spent one season snowboarding together.

Do people ever confuse you on the mountain?

Yeah, it's pretty funny considering she hasn't snowboarded that much.

Did you compete this year?

A little bit. I entered two BoarderCross races and a couple big air events that I placed second and third in.

What do you think about competing?

I am still trying to figure it out. I don't really know if I want to go for it or not. It's a whole part of the sport that gets socially political. That's irritating to deal with when you just want to compete. If I compete just for myself it's okay, but if it is for anyone else it's difficult. BoarderCross is fun though, and I think it's the wave of the future. With BoarderCross it's between the rider and the finish line and has nothing to do with the judge.

Do you have any golden Olympic dreams?

Yeah, I've thought about it. It would be cool to be on the first snowboarding Olympic team.

What don't you like about snowboarding?

I don't like how a lot of people use it to create their identity. Especially when they talk a lot of bullshit and their heads get big.

What kind of terrain do you like?

Wide open fields of powder with tree patches and rocks.

Name one place in the world you would like to go to?

I would really like to go to New Zealand because I have heard it is beautiful there. Other than that I really want to go to Indonesia or Thailand to check out some culture.

Where do you like to ride?

Mt. Bachelor. But right now I am living in the Sierras. I really like that.

Why did you choose the Tahoe area?

For a change of scenery. More mountains more terrain to cover.

Who are your superheros?

I would have to say Barrett Christy for sure. Also Michele Taggart. I have gotten to know her a bit and I really respect her.

What do you want to do after today?

Probably go snowboarding, mountain bike a bit this summer, look for a job, then snowboard some more.
