Falling Down - Chris Zuchlag

As in any sport, injury is always a possibility. By following a couple safety tips, injury can be avoided. Listen to the tip.

Gotta make a fist!

Falling Forward

Falling Backward

A snowboarder will fall sometimes and learning riders will fall a lot. The key to avoiding injury is knowing how to fall and when you fall you have to make a fist. The most common injury in snowboarding is a broken finger or an injured wrist.

When you fall forward on your knees, make a fist, fall on your forearms and make sure your hands are in a fist .

The important precaution is to make a fist when falling backwards. If you fall back with your hands open you will possibly hurt a wrist. Take the impact in your fist and then pass it on to your backside.

When you fall please remember to make a fist.
