Jan. 25-26, Crystal Mountain, Wash.
Feb. 8-9, Bear Mountain Resort, Calif.

The festival will also be part of Boarderfest, Dec. 14-15 at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colo.

The Mountain Dew Snowboard Festivals pull out all of the stops in learning to snowboard by offering free lessons to first-time riders of all ages and free use of demonstration snowboards, boots and snowboard apparel for all participants.

More than 70 snowboard companies will have the latest products available for riders to try, making the Mountain Dew Snowboard Festivals the largest snowboard demo series in North America. The festivals will feature a rocking snowboard corral with more than 500 snowboards, hundreds of boots, the latest step-in binding systems, and the hottest trends in snowboard wear. Riders can bring their boards for free waxing and tuning while they try out the newest equipment.

Products, including snowboard boots, t-shirts, beanies and a brand new snowboard, will be raffled off at the end of each festival day. Mountain Dew goodies, Eastpak samples, Burst Gum, Mountain Lift energy bars and coupons for discounts at local snowboard shops will also be given away to participants.

Last year, the five festivals attracted a total of 4,200 people. More than half of last year's participants were first-time snowboarders, 80 percent of whom said they would snowboard again. Twenty-eight percent of last year's festival participants were women.
