If you haven't noticed yet, we've completely redesigned the entire SOL | Snowboarding Online site. Now, it's the ALL- NEW bigger, better site that we always wanted. Our intention was to make it faster to load, easier to navigate, and nicer on the eyes. We hope we've succeeded. If not, at least it's still ALL- NEW.

THE ALL-NEW WHAT'S NEW
THE PROFILES
We now have short profiles on 61 pro snowboarders in the PROfile. If you've ever wanted to know Noah Brandon's favorite food (vegi rolls) then this is the place to look. We've got portraits and action photos of most everyone who is anyone and we're adding more on a weekly basis.

THE SLIDE SHOW
You wanted photos and we're giving them to you. Big, juicy photos from around the world. With the new Freeze-frame Search Engine you'll be able to search the SOL photo database by rider, location, terrain, photographer, event, sponsor or any combination of the above. What you'll get back is the photo in three sizes: thumbnail, medium, and extra-large (suitable for framing).

THE SOL | SHOP
The Shop has been completely redesigned. It doesn't have anything new it yet, but soon and very soon it will be loaded with all the new gear and amazingly low prices.

VIDEOATOR
Want to know which video to buy? Wonder who's in it? Never fear, we've got it all here for you in our sneak preview review of the top videos that will be available this season.

FEEDBACK
This is the place where you can send us e- mail speaking your mind or just railing us for being lame. It's up to you. All of it gets read by our editor. So give him heck, Dante.

OTHER STUFF
Meanwhile, back in the real world we've been hanging out at the ASR (Action Sports Retailer) show in San Diego because it 'tis the snowboard film season. Standard Films, Mack Dawg Productions, FLF, Fusion, High Voltage, and others kicked down the video goods. As usual many of the pros showed up to catch the action. Todd Richards, the Leines brothers, Peter Line, J.P. Walker, Circe Wallace, Andy Hetzel, Tom Burt, Tex Devenport, Tina Basich and others slid through town for a second to catch movies before heading out on the road for another season.

Other than that we didn't we didn't see anything worth talking about. We cruised the aisles checked out the bikini models and yacked with friends. We did come away with some bits and pieces that may interest someone:

--Quiksilver sported the largest booth at the show.

--Patagonia unveiled their new line of surfboards to go with their trunks and Hawaiian print shirts.

--The Raisin girls were still the cutest bikini models to walk the ramps.

--World Industries had a guy painted up like the devil that seemed to get a lot of odd stares as he toured around the show.

--Surfer Magazine showed bits of Zalman King's new full length feature film "In God's Hands." It's amazing. Check it out when it comes to a theater near you.

--Some company called "Soap" introduced a new pair of shoes with a grind plate on the insole for grinding handrails. Think of them as in-line skates without wheels. We'll see how this one goes over.

If you want to keep us Grooving, send us any exciting new information or ideas floating around that we may not have heard. Email to: [email protected].

If in some bout of insanity (or sanity) you decide you no longer want to receive the fabulous weekly update from the SOL | Groove in your mailbox (your loss, not ours) point your browser to this URL: http://snow.interzine.com/solgroove/unsub.ht ml.

We would be glad to boot your name right off the list.
