2001 Consumer SnowSports Expo Schedule Highlights Olympic Preview, New Eastern Show

Waltham, MA--The largest producer of winter sports and travel shows in the United States, BEWI Productions, Inc. has announced this year�s theme and schedule for the Fall SnowSports Expos including the addition of a new city. Hartford, Connecticut has been selected as the site of BEWI�s newest SnowSports Expo. With the growing excitement of the Winter Olympics descending upon Salt Lake City, this year�s Expos will be themed �A Utah Olympic Preview and U.S. Team Salute.�

�With the high anticipation of the Winter Olympic Games returning to the United States after a 20-year absence, this year�s Expos will highlight that energy,� says Bernard E. Weichsel, president of BEWI Productions, Inc. All of this year�s Expos will showcase Olympic athletes past and present, representing most aspects of U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team disciplines. In addition to the Olympics preview, BEWI�s Expos will include a high flying ski and snowboard trampoline show, professional skateboard competitions, interactive children�s SnoMonsters Sno-Park, appearances by ski and snowboard personalities, and product and technique clinics.

New this year, BEWI has added a SnowSports Expo at the Hartford Civic Center from Friday to Sunday, November 9-11, 2001. BEWI�s 17-year partnership with Ski Market and Underground Snowboards provides a built-in high level of consumer awareness to the expo through Ski Market�s large Connecticut presence. According to Weichsel, �Many New England resorts view the affluent Connecticut market as integral to their success; the addition of the Connecticut Expo will boost the resorts� access to these crucial customers.� The Connecticut Expo will incorporate all the entertainment and special features the industry has come to anticipate from BEWI Productions. In addition to Hartford, BEWI produces consumer expos in Seattle, Denver, Portland, Boston, and San Jose.
