Quiksilver Promotes Bill Bussiere

By Press Release

July 16, 2001

Huntington Beach, California, -- (NYSE:ZQK) Bob McKnight, Quiksilver chief executive officer, announced the appointment of Bill Bussiere to executive vice president of Wintersports, Mervin Manufacturing, Hawk Clothing and Wetsuits. "Bill is a vital part of our management team and the company is fortunate to have his experience and counsel," says McKnight. In his expanded role, Bussiere will oversee all general management for each of the brands.

Bussiere joined Quiksilver in 1998 as senior vice president of Quiksilver Wintersports and Mervin Manufacturing. In 2000, Bussiere took on Wetsuits and the newly launched Hawk Clothing brand. "I look forward to continuing the process of taking these businesses to new levels, and welcome the challenges that lie ahead," said Bussiere.

Quiksilver designs, produces and distributes clothing, accessories and related products for active-minded people and develops brands that represent a casual lifestyle - driven from a boardriding heritage. Quiksilver's authenticity is evident in its innovative products, events and retail environments across the globe.

Quiksilver's primary focus is apparel for young men and young women under the Quiksilver, Quiksilver Roxy, Raisins, Radio Fiji and Hawk Clothing labels. Quiksilver also manufactures apparel for boys (Quiksilver Boys and Hawk Clothing), girls (Teenie Wahine and Raisins Girls), men (Quiksilver Silver Edition and Fidra) and women (Leilani and Alex Goes), as well as snowboards, snowboard boots and bindings under the Lib Technologies, Gnu, Supernatural Manufacturing and Bent Metal labels. Quiksilver's products are sold throughout the world, primarily in surf shops and specialty stores that provide an outstanding retail experience for their customers.
