Burton Adds Eastern Reps

By Press Release

August 6, 2001

In an effort to raise the level of service provided to dealers, Burton Snowboards announced the addition of four new team members to their US sales force - Matt Hoffman, Mark Robinson, Buck Rowlee, and Jeff Heer.

Recently the company began restructuring the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Midwest sales territories. According to Clark Gundlach, US Sales Manager, The timing is critical; as we enter into a new season and continue to introduce new products each year, we needed to enhance our dealer and rep relationships. The goal was to shrink the dealer to rep ratio, increase rep visibility within a territory, increase service to each dealer, and re-structure zones to support multiple brand sales. The result will be steady sales growth in a restructured, more concentrated dealer zone.

Matt Hoffman joins the Midwest sales team, bringing years of Burton experience to the table. He has worked for Burton for several years working in sales, and on the European Demo Tour. Living in Minneapolis, Matt will be spearheading the sales force in the Midwest, a zone comprised of WI, ND, SD, and MN.

Mark Robinson comes to Burton from Fox Racing and Split clothing, bringing with him nine years of sales experience. Mark will head up Burtons Mid-Atlantic sales region where he will be responsible for growing sales in a newly created zone that includes Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington DC. Mark will be based out of Towson, MD.

The Southeast welcomes Buck Rowlee and is looking forward to his fresh, energetic approach in retail. Originally from North Carolina, Buck will build upon his solid background in surf, skate, and snow retail gained from years managing Pioneer Surf, Skate, and Snowboard Shop in New Hampshire - one of the countrys first Burton dealers. The Southeast region is comprised of NC, SC, GA, TN, and VA.

Jeff Heer, a retired pro wakeboarder and then Sales Rep for Liquid Force wakeboards, is excited to add Burton Snowboards and Gravis to his line collection. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Jeffs territory will encompass the entire state of Florida; he currently lives in Orlando.
