Vancouver, BC (August 17, 2001) � MDT Sports/The Masters Group, PEAK Productions/PEAK Sports and Entertainment and Smooth Productions/Creative Events Marketing are pleased to announce the integration of their highly successful music, action-sport and event operations into a new company known as MASEV Communications (MASEV). The merger allows MASEV to offer clients concept-to-completion marketing solutions targeted specifically to the lucrative Gen Y/X demographic by integrating youth-focused experiential marketing with music, action-sports and events.

MASEV�s nucleus begins with the three founding companies:

MDT Sports/The Masters Group, headed by Mark Taylor, has been a pioneer and leader in action-sports since the mid eighties with projects ranging from the SIMS World Snowboarding Championship, Westbeach Classic and World Cup Snowboarding to Molson Canadian Dv8/SnowJam tours.

PEAK Productions/PEAK Sports and Entertainment, founded by Erik Kalacis, is one of the world�s leading action-sports producers whose portfolio includes the Swatch Boardercross� World Tour, and the Winter Gravity Games Big Air venue. Erik was recently selected by the Salt Lake City Organizing Committee to produce the snowboard and ski venues at 2002 Winter Olympics.

Smooth Productions/Creative Events Marketing, directed by John Donnelly, has been a major force in top-level music and entertainment promotion and production since 1984 with projects including New Music West, the West Coast�s longest running music industry festival, and clients ranging from Mike�s Hard Lemonade to Molson.

MASEV has also attracted key executive including Cec Annett, former Director of Action-Sports, Airwalk; Darcy Taylor, action-sports industry veteran; and Frank Gigliotti, former Columbia Records Canada executive and past president of the BC Lions (of the Canadian Football League).

With offices in Vancouver, British Columbia and Carlsbad, California MASEV will focus on continued growth within Canada and aggressive expansion into the US.

MASEV will launch their first venture October 27-28 at Vancouver�s BC Place Stadium. "The MASEV Action-Sports Expo" will be the largest indoor event ever in North America to unite all core action-sports under one roof, including Freestyle Motocross, Snowboarding, Freeskiing, Snowskate, Skateboarding, BMX, Mountain Bike Cross, and Sleds.

Leading edge bands and DJs will complement the two days of non-stop entertainment. MASEV Action-Sports Expo will feature the only North American stop of the Air Wars Freestyle Motocross (FMX) Tour and the world�s first indoor jib competition on snow.
