Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Wheat Ridge, Colorado, September, 2001 � Gen-X Sports, Inc. today announced that it has acquired the operating assets and intellectual properties of Volant Sports, LLC for an undisclosed amount.

Volant Sports, LLC, based in Colorado, is a manufacturer and distributor of high-end skis under the award-winning brand Volant, as well as a holder of patented steel technology.

We will provide Volant the financial support it requires to fully exploit exciting new patent pending technology and the leadership on a go-forward basis."

Volant will begin to wind-down its operations in Wheat Ridge, CO once a transition plan is developed in conjunction with Gen-X Sports. All operations, including sales and marketing, customer service will be moved to Toronto, Canada.
