Flux Licenses Burton 3-Hole Pattern

7/15/99

Flux Binding Systems recently announced that the company has signed an agreement with Burton Snowboards to legally license its 3-Hole Pattern Technology. All Flux brand bindings for the '99/00 season will be compatible with the Burton 3-Hole pattern.

"This is a win-win agreement for both companies," says Flux Vice President Jim Tomonaga. "We were frustrated to see last season many Burton board users wanted to buy Flux bindings, but couldn't because of non-compatibility. Now our bindings will go with the world's best-selling boards, and will be able to satisfy more consumers for sure."

"As a publicly traded company, we think it is important to legally negotiate and get it done right," he adds. "This will eventually help our shops and customers, by not being sued or recalled. This is another way to show our business style and create trust among the company, shops, and consumers.

The Flux snowboard team currently includes Jamie Lynn, Mike Basich, Chad Otterstrom, Dionne Delassale, Blaise Rosenthal, Rio Tahara, and Erik Leines.
