Jamie Lynn
June 1994
Stryn, Norway

We went over to Norway for the Wave Loch wave machine in Telemark Sommerland. We were there with a group of guys to ride the wave machine with these new boards. It was Terje, Jamie Lynn, Peter Line, Reto Lamm, Brock Little, Mack Dawg, and Brushie.

The day we arrived they turned on the water pumps in the wave pool and the coating on the bottom of the pool ripped right off. This screwed the whole thing. Wešd planned to do some snowboarding after, but then was just like "What do we do now."

Telemark gave us a van to drive up to Stryn because they were so bummed that all these people had come and no one got to ride the wave.

Terje said, "Let's go to Stryn." It was like the middle of June and he said they still had tons of snow and that Styrn was going to make some pipes for everyone.

So we drive all the way up there and we get to the restort and it was one of those years where there was so much snow that none of the normal hits were there and they hadnŒt built the pipe yet and there was nothing to shoot.

The end of the day we knew bad weather was coming in and these guys were saying it was going to be days before anything was built because wewere early. We werestanding there trying to figure out what to do and someone said "Why donšt we jump over the road."

They fixed alittle jump and fixed the landing. I forget who went over it first to check the landing. I think it was Terje. Immediately they started doing insane jumps. A little bit of light opened up just as the sun was going down. They stopped jumping and we drove back down to our little camp and it rained for the next four days. After that we packed up and went home.
