(Press Release, June 4)—Ride Sports (Nasdaq: RIDE), a leading manufacturer and marketer of snowboard equipment and accessories, wakeboards, and related products, today announced that it has entered into a national promotion, Slam The Stack, with Procter & Gamble, marketers of the Pringles brand of potato crisps, in an effort to broaden the appeal of snowboarding.

The national promotion will run through July 31, 1998 and is supported by Pringles' in-store displays and a national television campaign with a ten-second Slam the Stack tagline.

Special Pringles cans are on store shelves nationwide as part of the second Pringles Slam the Stack promotion. Consumers eat their way to the bottom of specially marked "Slam the Stack" Pringles cans to see if they find a winning sticker.

Ride is providing 750 complete snowboarding packages, including Ride snowboards, bindings, and a hat to those 750 lucky Grand Prize winners, and 11,700 runners-up will be awarded a Ride snowboarding hat.

"We believe that working with Pringles will help expand the Ride brand," said Bruce Manke, senior vice president of Ride Winter Sports. "Pringles is a nationally recognized, exciting brand. We believe this partnership makes sense."

Established in 1992, Ride Sports is headquartered at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, in Preston, Washington. Ride Sports is a leading manufacturer of contemporary sports equipment including snowboard equipment, wakeboards, and apparel under the brand names: Ride, Liquid, Fulltilt, Smiley Hats, and SMP.
