The SOL Groove Vol. 1 Num.
13
(April 22, 1997)
Earth Day Edition
Hello again. Happy Earth Day and welcome to a short and sweet version of
The Groove. People said we were getting a little too long winded, so here's
the micro version.
We just shut down the SOL Shack and got the heck out of Tahoe. The snow was
melting and rain was pretty much spoiling everything. It was especially hard
on the crowds at Boarding For Breast Cancer II at Sierra-At-Tahoe.
BOARDING FOR BREAST CANCER II
The BBC's
second foray into the benefit concert/snowboard thing was great until it
started raining and Luscious Jackson decided not to play. Primus stuck it
out and played in the rain, however, the Ladies Luscious decided they didn't
want to be electrocuted.
STINE IS FROM NORWAY
Okay, props going out to Don Sather and Oystein Mehus for pointing out that
Stine
Brun-Kjeldaas is in fact Norwegian and not from the Scandinavian country
that we included in the last Groove.
We know she's from Norway, it's just that not all of us knew. Now we do.
We know some other stuff too because we have her profile up now.
SOL MANU LISTING
We've got a pretty cool new thing called the
SOL
Manufacturers listing. It's got all the addresses and phone numbers of
every single snowboard company known to man. Check it out and let us know
how you like it.
COMING UP
Watch for SOL Summer Camp Directory appearing soon.
That's all for now. We're gone.
If, in some bout of insanity, you decide you don't want to receive the SOL
Groove in your mailbox point your browser to this URL:
