The SOL Groove Vol. 1 Num. 15
(June 9, 1997)

Not Gone For the Summer!

So right about now you're probably thinking, "Hey, I haven't gotten a Groove from SOL in a while. I wonder what's going on." Well, we figured if we left you all hanging long enough you might get curious and come to SOL and see for yourself what is happening. But in case you haven't done that in a while here's the latest (and it's going to be extra short).

THE SOL JAMIE LYNN INTERVIEW
We interviewed the guy who is quite possibly the best snowboarder in the world. Read what he had to say about traveling the world being a snowboarding super hero.

THE BEAST 6.0
Wondering what's going on in the industry? Looking for a new job? Want to know who's getting married? The Beast has finally been updated with all kinds of juicy information that you may already know, but we don't care. We'll tell you all about it anyway.

SOL MEDIATOR
Check out the latest music in the SOL | Audio Mediator. Reviewed releases include Daft Punk, Blink 182, Bis, Foo Fighters, Primus, Buck-o-Nine, The Toasters, Souls and more. Our link to CDNow makes ordering the CDs you like as easy as clicking a button. But music isn't all of it. We also have reviews of the latest snowboard print magazines and videos. If you like the videos go ahead and buy them from the SOL | Shop.

THE BEAST OF THE EAST
Tuckerman Ravine is a haven for extremely twisted snowboarders out to get their last bit of winter snow. Last spring Jack Michaud went there and nearly died. He and his friends survived to tell of it. This is their story.

TYROL BASIN SNOWBOARD JAM 97
Those wacky cheese heads are at it again. They saved a huge mound of snow so they could have a snowboard contest the first week in June in the rolling hills outside Madison, Wisconsin.

MT. HOOD SUMMER CAMP DIRECTORY
Dreaming about going to a snowboarding summer camp? Dream no more. We've got the details from all the camps at Mt. Hood including prices, dates, phone numbers, and coaching staff.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE COVERAGE. . .
That's right, we're not just sitting in our air-conditioned offices all summer. We're out and about pulling in info from the far reaches of snowboarding.

Later this month will have coverage from Mt. Hood, the Canadian Olympic trials at Blackcomb June 20-28, and complete dope-ass behind the scenes coverage from the X-Games in San Diego, California starting June 20. We'll be throwing up coverage on the skateboarding and snowboarding big air events so check it out.

If, in some bout of insanity, you decide you no longer want to receive the SOL | Groove in your mailbox point your browser to this URL: http://www.snowboarding-online.com/register/unsub.cfm

The Groove 15 was brought to you by the wonderful people at InterZine Productions, creators of the amazing iBike Mountain Bike Site
