Want to know what's going on in
snowboarding today? Why go anywhere else
when you can find out everything on
Snowboarding Online. This week we have the
latest in contest results, never seen before
pictures from the X Games, the Mt. Bachelor
and Mammoth Mountain Grand Prixes, and
the inside scoop on the 1998 Winter Olympics
in Nagano, Japan. We're not the Numero Uno
Internet snowboard site for nothing. Here's
what's up this week.
GUERRILLA COVERAGE OF THE WINTER GAMES
The SOLympic Army made up of SOL's Editor
Lee Crane and Snowboarder Magazine Editor
at Large Jeff Galbraith will begin live
transmissions from Nagano starting February
6, 1998. Follow troop movements as they ride
the bullet train from Tokyo to Nagano, hitch
hike to a small ski lodge in the Japanese Alps,
tease snow monkeys, and negotiate the
subtleties of Japanese public baths. Stay
tuned for full audio-visual coverage of the
Opening Ceremonies, Snowboard GS and
Halfpipe, and any other events they can scam
their way into. The IOC won't even know what
hit them.
US GRAND PRIX III
The US Olympic Snowboard Team was chosen
last Saturday at Mammoth Mountain,
California. Find out how Ron "Who?" Chiodi,
Adam Hostetter, Barrett Christy, and Betsy
Shaw made the team and listen to real audio
interviews with everyone who's going to
Nagano.
TERJE'S BACK
Terje made it back to the Banked Slalom this
year and of course took the golden duct tape
trophy once again along with five-time
Banked Slalom champ Karleen Jeffreys. Andy
Wright gives us the scoop from the wet, white
north.
GIRL GOSPEL
Kathleen Gasperini gives us the Gospel word
from the X-Games. Read all about your
favorite she-riders.
