Pop The Question Get a Free Party At Loon

By Press Release

January 14, 2000

POP THE QUESTION ON VALENTINE'S DAY AND WIN A FREE ENGAGEMENT PARTY

New Hampshire, Jan. 14, 2000: The New Hampshire Resorts of Loon, Cranmore and Waterville Valley have announced a most romantic offer. Anyone who proposes to his or her sweetheart on Valentine's Day while skiing or snowboarding at one of the resorts will have a chance to win a free engagement party in the spring. The party includes a day of skiing for the betrothed couple and 30 friends, plus a champagne toast at the end of the day.

Those thinking about "popping the question" will need to register with the Guest Services Desk first thing in the morning, and then come back at the end of the day with the person to whom he or she has proposed. On this romantic day, no "maybes" will be accepted.

Each resort will throw an engagement party for the winning couple in the spring. Party dates are: Loon, April 2; Cranmore, March 26; Waterville Valley, April 2. If more than one couple gets engaged on Valentine's Day at any resort, the respective resort will pick the winning couple out of a drawing held at the end of the day.

"We are always hearing stories of guests who have met on the slopes and proceeded to get married. Who knows, maybe these couples will come back and get married on the slopes next year," said Ted Austin, general manager at Cranmore Mountain Resort.

For more information on "Popping the Question on Snow" and the latest snow conditions, call the individual resorts: Loon- 800-229-LOON; Cranmore- 800-SUN N SKI; Waterville Valley- 800-GO VALLEY; or click on www.loonmtn.com, www.cranmore.com, or www.waterville.com.
