Terrain Drain Trip Review

Garmisch, Germany
Submitted By: Jeanna Nichols

Overall impression of the riding: I disagree with Steve Sparks, the place to go in Garmisch is the Zugspitze. That is were the powder is no matter what time of year it is. Hausburg is usually icy and crowded with us stupid Americans. Zugspitze has some great runs and it less crowded. This is the tallest mountian in Germany and has a great view. Where else do you have the choice to take the lift to Germany or Austria?
Rank on a scale of 1 - 5 (Five being best, one being suckiest)
Overall Terrain: 4
Lift Service: 4
Mountain Personnel: 4
Attitude Towards Snowboarders: 4
Halfpipe: 3
Snowboard Park: 3
Recommendations for future visitors:
Secret Stash: Most all is great
Best Lift: Most all
Local Shop: downtown has a lot
Restaurant: the guesthouses in the area to and from lifts
Hangout: downtown
Place To Stay: Eibsee, right by lift to Zugpitze
