Terrain Drain Trip Review

Winterplace, WV
Submitted By: Allen Baynton

Overall impression of the riding: I went over MLK weekend and it was soooo crowded. There were just tons of people everywhere. The runs were all ice and slush the first two days, and they blew snow all day Monday (the best of the three days). The lifts were slow as hell, and the snowboard park was not even open. Too many high school ski trips that weekend and way too many inexperienced skiers and boarders all stopped in the middle of every run. The reason I am giving the pipe and the park 1's is cuz the weren't even open.
Rank on a scale of 1 - 5 (Five being best, one being suckiest)
Overall Terrain: 3
Lift Service: 2
Mountain Personnel: 4
Attitude Towards Snowboarders: 3
Halfpipe: 1
Snowboard Park: 1
Recommendations for future visitors:
Secret Stash: Snow bowl
Best Lift: none of the above
Local Shop: Fred's Shreds, backwoods mobile home/boardshop
Restaurant: Texas steakhouse in Beckley
Hangout: Par-Tee lounge in Beckley
Place To Stay: Hampton inn in Beckley, killer continental b'kfast
