Overall impression of the riding: I'm not your rail grabbing, tree bashing,fearless young rider. I love wide open terrain, bowls cruising runs and big fast turns. Hey, I surf a longboard, on liquid HOH that is. I found Whistler to have an abundance of what I like and from what I could see there's plenty of the other to go around. I witnessed a lot of the hairy runs by putting my skis on,(yes I'd rather be on a board but after skiing for 30 yrs I can still handle a lot scarier terrain on 2 sticks, that too shall pass) The lift lines were manageable and the lifts fast and long providing lots and lots of vertical in one day. The best deal there is First Run. You buy a ticket at the base to go up and eat a buffet breakfast around 7:30 am and as soon as they clear the mtn. they let you go for it. All for only around $12 us. I was on the 5th chair to the top of the glacier one am...wow
