Terrain Drain Trip Review

Cortina, Italy.
Submitted By: Layla McGrory

Overall impression of the riding: This resort has some of the best off-piste riding in the world and is mostly untouched by local Italians, as they prefer the perfectly groomed runs, where they aren't likely to get snow sprayed on their patent jackets. Most of it is easily accessible via lifts and not much hiking is required. Good time to visit is early January, when the holiday rush is over and the local kids are back at school. (Also a great place for carvers!)
Rank on a scale of 1 - 5 (Five being best, one being suckiest)
Overall Terrain: 3
Lift Service: 5
Mountain Personnel: 5
Attitude Towards Snowboarders: 4
Halfpipe: 1
Snowboard Park: 1
Recommendations for future visitors:
Secret Stash: Cinque Torri
Best Lift: M. Cristallo
Local Shop: Didn't use any but there ar plenty ski shops.
Restaurant: Wish I could remember the name! Mescal, & 5 Torri
Hangout: During the day you don't. Nights; Mescal.
Place To Stay: Emperio Hotel, not too dear & nice people.
