Terrain Drain Trip Review

Steamboat Springs, CO
Submitted By: Darren Ovitsky

Overall impression of the riding: It was sickter off the rictor! the boat rocks, the park was cool 2 years a go, sucked last year. The pipe was very nice but quite big and i couldn't ride it cause they don't have pipes where im from. The best time to go is February, not too cold, snow everyday, it's cool. If your a gnarly powder hound go to Mt. Werner and hike to the radio towers where nobody goes, your bound to find good freshies and there are a few places to build some 35+ foot gaps which are so much fun. Also on Buddy's Run if you go in the trees on the right natural jumps and QP's just pop out of nowhere and they're fun. The only downside to the boat is that it is relatively flat but other than that it rocks the mic like a vandal.
Rank on a scale of 1 - 5 (Five being best, one being suckiest)
Overall Terrain: 4
Lift Service: 5
Mountain Personnel: 5
Attitude Towards Snowboarders: 4
Halfpipe: 4
Snowboard Park: 2
Recommendations for future visitors:
Secret Stash: Morningside by the towers
Best Lift: Storm Peak Express
Local Shop: BC, Powder Tools, and Powder Pursuits all rock
Restaurant: um there are a few
Hangout: at your room
Place To Stay: anywhere on mountain rocks
