Beech Mountain

Overall impression of the riding: Almost nothing can describe the crappiness of the riding at Beech Mountain. The mountain completely sucks. You'll find all that you would want from a southern resort here from Confederate flags hanging out of slopeside condos to boiled peanuts. It really makes you feel at home to see those drunk hicks flying down the slopes wearing their camo. I don't understand why people wear the camo when skiing or boarding. Do they think that it's another form of hunting? Oh well, back to the resort. The lifts whisk you up to the top at probably about 2 miles per hour. The trails are narrow and icy. That is unless you get one of those rare "powder" days when they get to blow snow all day because it stays below 32 degrees.
