Terrain Drain Trip Review

alyeska + backcountry ak
Submitted By: Drew

Overall impression of the riding: Alyeska is by far the best resort in the country. Even though it's small it packs in the best kung-POW to yen ratio. I have spent time riding in Colorado, Washington, Utah, Oregon, and California and nothing compares. The steeps are none to fu#@ with and the pow is plentiful. It's like Mt. Baker in 1998-99 without the rain. Try over 1,000 inches in a season. If you haven't been here then you ain't really been ridin and I'm sorry..... jackasses. If you want lift accessed backcountry come to Alyeska. No need for a terrain park or halfpipe because the natural hits are endless...like your mom's panty drawer.
Rank on a scale of 1 - 5 (Five being best, one being suckiest)
Overall Terrain: 5
Lift Service: 4
Mountain Personnel: 5
Attitude Towards Snowboarders: 4
Halfpipe: 1
Snowboard Park: 1
Recommendations for future visitors:
Secret Stash: LOLO's, the Slot, under Chair 1
Best Lift: First Tram
Local Shop: Northern Boarder, Boarderline
Restaurant: Chair 5, the Sitz, The Bake Shop
Hangout: Max's, the dive, the Sitz
Place To Stay: The stairwell of the Alyeska Prince Hotel
