Terrain Drain Trip Review

Mammoth Mountain
Submitted By: matapang

Overall impression of the riding: Being from the island, I did everything with water. Surfing 15' waves before a major storm hits the island to spearfish/freediving 15' underwater. 18 yrs. of my life I spent in the consistant 80 degree waters of the Pacific. Now I still play in the same element but the temperature and state of which it is in is the only difference. Cold and snow is now the enemy. Riding untouched powder still does not compare to riding a perfect wave, but powder is easier to find. Tree runs may sound crazy but I'd rather wrap myself around a tree than go through a wipeout/spin cycle and go head first into live coral. I love the adrenaline, I love the speed, I love the freedom, I LOVE SNOWBOARDING!!!
