Verbier today is incontestably the freeride capital of Europe. Once again, on the 24th and 25th of March 2001, Verbier will host, for the sixth consecutive year, the world famous Red Bull Xtreme competition. Internationally renowned riders have been invited for an thrilling show of extreme freeride snowboard.

The Red Bull Xtreme contest is scheduled on Saturday the 24th of March. The judges will select in the preliminary run 7 best men riders and 2 best lady riders who qualify for the final run later that day. The spectators will be welcomed in a natural sun-spotted artificial village, constructed on the Col des Gentianes, which faces breathtaking Bec des Rosses.
